Thank you for visiting my website! I'd like to tell you a bit about me as a person and a Realtor because the big question is WHY CHOOSE ME TO HELP YOU??
Simply because I want to help YOU move FORWARD.
I've been described as "friendly", "approachable", "knowledgeable", "tenacious", "a people person", "super professional", 'creative", "passionate and energetic" and someone they would want in their corner during a negotiation!
My journey into real estate as a career arose after 2 1/2 years of searching for our own family home....my husband and I couldn't decide where we wanted to live with our two children but we knew it was time for a change.
So I spent some time, in some cases months, researching various cities in the west GTA. I visited schools and talked with staff and any parents who would give me a few minutes. I walked neighbourhood streets. We hung out in parks and biked on city trails and paths. We grocery shopped, visited libraries, researched school success rankings, timed commutes, asked questions of the towns' planning departments, looked at transit and infrastructure and parks and rec programs for our family.
It was exhausting, informative, and fun. Along the way, I "interviewed" agents in each of the markets we were considering: Georgetown, Brampton, Guelph, Erin, Burlington, Mississauga, then Oakville. I simply asked if they would be willing to spend an afternoon or two with me and hubby, showing us a few neighbourhoods and housing stock so we could look at value for dollar and the best fit for us. If we liked their style, their knowledge, their helpfulness, their attitude, and we chose to live in that city, then we would sign with them (I'm referring to a Buyer Representation Agreement - ask me about this, it's very important!).
We learned an incredible amount about real estate along the way. And I learned what made fantastic realtors, and who was really not up to snuff based on what we expected as consumers. In particular, I was inspired and encouraged by two wonderful Realtors; one in Guelph and one in Georgetown. Then I had the terrific opportunity to work as an assistant to the agent who helped us to buy our home in Oakville.
Fast forward to now and I am thrilled to be a licensed Realtor in Oakville! I am working hard to put all my skills and strengths to work for great people and families.
My background is arts management, including marketing and communications, special events management, fundraising, and not-for-profit governance. My undergraduate degree is in Music Education, clarinet major, and I still enjoy teaching private music lessons to a handful of wonderful students each week and it is a special part of my life.
For the past 12 years I also ran my own wedding cake business and custom baking, selling over 600 dozen Christmas cookies and dozens of handmade, gourmet wedding cakes per year.
I believe real estate doesn't have to be "cookie cutter" though (pardon the cheap joke!)....I am excited about using my creativity and energy and passion to help move you forward in your life, whether it means buying a home, selling a home, leasing, finding an investment property or a dream cottage property.
Call or email me today, and I truly look forward to speaking with you.
